2016 Excellence in Promoting Community Awareness and Outstanding Business and Community Initiative winner
What can we tell you about HPA Helping People Achieve that you haven’t heard on the TV ads, in newspaper articles, through winning Awards and many more projects in 2016? HPA are strongly committed to promoting the value of people with disability in the wider community through their commercial ventures, employment pathways, media strategy, their outcomes. The combination of these components is seen as fundamental to increasing awareness, opportunity and mutual engagement fort both the community and people with disability.
Importantly HPA works with the sector, with other disability service providers to engage and reach the wider community. HPA hosted events in October Business Month, Impact Day, Chamber of Commerce events and with Top End Tourism. In 2016 HPA was the first not for profit organisation to win the NT Business of the Year award.
HPA has has raised the profile, outcomes and income opportunities for HPA and their clients, increased access for individuals and corporate entities to make a contribution through successful engagement with the disability sector, and increased community awareness of sector.
